Delivering quality is the major challenge for RTK

Competitive Airport concession good news for Kosovo's economic development
The ICR noted that the process of the tender of the concession of Pristina International Airport was competitive until the end. The outcome shows that well-designed investment opportunities in Kosovo can be attractive for large, reputable foreign investors. Read the full ICR statement here.
ICO calls on municipalities to respect the Constitution, laws and Comprehensive Status Proposal
Municipalities must respect each others’ competences, especially in regard to construction permits, the ICO said in a statement today. It was emphasized that new municipalities gained competences as soon as local elections were completed. Read the statement of the ICO Spokesperson here.

ICR visits stakeholders in the United States of America
ICR Pieter Feith travelled to the USA in May 2010 to report to key stakeholders on the progress of the ICO's mandate implementation. He made a speech at the US Institute of Peace, gave a presentation at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and met with officials at the State Department. Mr Feith was also received in Washington, D.C. by Senator George Voinovich (Republican, Ohio) and Senator Jeanne Shaheen (Democrat, New Hampshire). Read more about the visit here.
ICR meets with mayors from Gjilan/Gnjilane region
The International Civilian Representative (ICR) met with the eleven Municipal Mayors of Gjilan/Gnjilane region, as part of a series of meetings with the Mayors in all regions of Kosovo following the November 2009 municipal elections. Read a report of the meeting here.
